Infrared

David Woo is reaching new horizons post photojournalism and now trying his art in Infrared Photography. Taking a photograph in infrared is like performing a magic trick. Please let me explain.

The very essence of photography is light.  We always try for the very best light hoping for the best outcome in the finished photograph.  Many years of practicing this process is required to produce excellent photographs.

Then along comes infrared photography with a new set of rules.  The infrared image is exposed by light that is not visible to the human eye.  Therefore it becomes much more difficult to judge good light from bad. The learning curve is much steeper, longer and more difficult.

These infrared photographs have required much experimentation and endless hours to capture and I hope you enjoy them.
